Position Title: Configuration Management Analyst within the Logistics Branch of the NAVFAC Expeditionary Programs Office (NEPO), Washington Navy Yard, Washington, D.C.

Position Description: Professional Analysis, Inc. (PAI) is seeking a Configuration Management Analyst to support the NAVFACExpeditionary Programs Office (NEPO) located at the Washington Navy Yard. NEPO is the Navy’s System Command (SYSCOM) responsible for procuring and managing expeditionary vehicles, construction equipment, Improved Navy Lighterage Systems, uniforms, tent camps, and other equipment/material used by SeaBees, SEALs and Naval Beach Group units. The Configuration Management Analyst will work extensively with Program Managers, equipment subject matter experts/commodity managers, other EchelonII System Commands (SYSCOMs), Echelon III/IV field activities as well as Type Commanders (TYCOMs), plus interface with Fleet units, OPNAV staff and other DoD agencies. The main responsibility of the Configuration Management Analyst is to provide configuration management subject matter expertise across all Product Group areas (six separate program area functional capabilities), tracking configuration baselines and updates across the entire product lifecycle to support product development and procurement. The Configuration Management Analyst is to provide professional findings of technical analysis in the form of reports and presentations.

Job Responsibilities shall include:

• Support development of sound configuration management (CM) practices and principles

• Review program plans, system acquisition documents, execution documents, capability documents, andpolicy development as necessary

• Support life cycle management of expeditionary equipment and recommend appropriate courses of action for proper configuration management

• Prepare and participate in briefings in support of Program Management Reviews

• Create, maintain, and assess Integrated Master Schedules (IMS)

• Participate in, coordinate, and contribute to Integrated Product Teams (IPTs)

• Evaluate and recommend configuration management practices on improvements for fielded equipment

• Identify, analyze, assess, and recommend CM strategies for TOA Development

• Use analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to issues or studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of CM approaches

• Apply pertinent laws, regulations, policies and precedent which affect the use of CM Required Skills and Experience:

• Demonstrated managerial and supervisory skills and experience supporting a DoD Program Office

• Familiarity with the Defense Acquisition System and DoD 5000 series guidance and regulations

• Shall have 7-10 years’ experience at a minimum • Shall be proficient in MS Excel, MS Word and MS PowerPoint (MS Access is desired)

• Shall have demonstrated ability to develop concise and meaningful briefings, presentations and technical reports

• Possess and maintain a DoD SECRET security clearance Desired Skills and Experience:

• Master’s degree in logistics

• DAWIA Level II certification in Program Management, Life Cycle Logistics, or Engineering, or industry equivalent (PMP)

Some Travel up to 25% of the time may be required.
