About this Position

Professional Analysis, Inc. (PAI) is seeking a Database Administrator to provide logistics support to include a variety of Distribution Management Support Services (DMSS), which include direct and indirect support to employed Marines at various locations in CONUS and OCONUS, as well as at contingency locations. The primary location of contract performance is Marine Corps Logistics Command (MARCORLOGCOM) , Albany, GA, and may include other OCONUS and contingency locations.  Position is contingent upon award of contract.

Responsibilities include: 
• Design, develop, and maintain databases, using standard database programs such as MS Access and Oracle, to provide distribution reports, analyses, metrics and other relevant information to assist with distribution decisions
• Design, develop, and maintain data warehouses
• Use knowledge of relational database concepts, SQL programming and database management practices to communicate with customers to determine database needs
• Use knowledge of database structures and theories, and current database technologies to translate customer requirements into database designs and execute appropriately
• Manage data administration, database management systems, and data modeling functions
• Apply data models and data process principles and practices, and establish guidelines for data management
• Build and modify database systems and objects to meet business requirements using SQL Server database tools, environments and query language
• Maintain an awareness of emerging technologies and maintain currency on the latest technology updates
• Identify trends, as well as isolated events, and differentiate between the two
• Recognize, analyze and resolve complex technical issues
• Use SQL language and the ability to write complex queries including inner and outer joins and unions
• Create new and modify existing MS SQL database, tables, SSIS packages, stored procedures, and copy down jobs
• Utilize the following Department of Defense systems Defense Priorities and Allocations System (DPAS), TDS, Life Cycle Modeling Integrator (LMCI)/ Total Life Cycle Management-Operational Support Tool (TLCM-OST), Wide Area Workflow (WAWF), Logistics Gateway (LOGWAY), Federal Catalog System (FEDLOG), and SharePoint
• Use various AIS that are used throughout DTS, including geographic information systems (GIS) which account, track, and interface providing movement data for load planning programs in support of the Force Deployment Planning and Execution (FDPE) process and In-Transit Visibility (ITV).

Requirements include:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Information Technology, Applied Science, or Database administration and/or five years of relevant full-time work experience in MySQL DBMS administration or maintenance and related functions
• Certification: Microsoft Certified Database Administrator, Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert and/or Cisco certification
• Must be a U.S. citizen
• Must have a minimum security clearance of SECRET.
