About this Position

PAI Logistics Site Lead, Port Hueneme, CA.   This requirement is in support of ongoing MSC Global Material Management Contract (immediate hire).  


This leadership position entails current/active DoD SECRET Clearance, to be validated in JPAS as very first step to candidate review.   Candidate should be in relative proximity to Port Hueneme, CA (within 25miles).   In addition to regular work hours, candidate will be required to support unplanned (short notice) late night, weekend, and federal holiday – for urgent requirements only (projected 2 events per month, with 2hour duration).   Candidate will supervise additional warehouse personnel (fluctuate between 1 and 5 individuals) in the receipt, stowage, packaging, inventory management, kitting, and shipment of parts and equipment, to include Material Sealift Command Connected Replenishment Rigs.   Candidate will perform technical research to validate parts and equipment, and will provide timely/accurate/complete customer service information to allow efficient/integrated planning and timely execution by applicable stakeholders.   Candidate will utilize MS Office tools to craft and provide weekly and monthly reports input (work accomplished).   Expected travel 2-3 days per quarter to NAVSTA San Diego area for Training/Administrative requirements.   Prior military preferred (eg retired CIVMAR or USN E7 Storekeeper/Boatswain Mate).

Minimum Requirements:

• Active DoD SECRET Clearance
• Physically qualified to obtain forklift operator license (pass DOT bus driver physical) and satisfactorily pass operator skill exam.  
• 10 yrs experience in material/inventory management operations at the fleet or commercial maritime industry level.
• 6 yrs experience in managing a material distribution facility.
• 4 yrs experience in managing/supervising warehouse staff.
• 4 yrs experience with material PHS&T requirements, processes, and procedures to include Hazardous material and controlled material special handling processes, and knowledge of federal/DoD Supply system requirements.
• 4 yrs experience managing specialized military equipment such as Underway Replenishment (UNREP/CONREP) equipment.
• 4 yrs experience using either DoD, Merchant Marine, US Coast Guard, or commercial warehouse inventory systems.
