About this Position

Professional Analysis, Inc. (PAI) is seeking a Navy Systems Engineer.  This individual will provide Systems Engineering support to the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Expeditionary Programs Office (NEPO) on the Washington Navy Yard.

Job Responsibilities:
• Provide Systems Engineering and Technical Support
• Prepare and review engineering recommendations for new and fielded systems
• Analyze and report Engineering Feasibility Studies and Cost Estimate for new equipment
• Analyze and report on operation requirements for new systems
• Review and recommend approval or disapproval on Justification cost Forms (JCF), System Alterations (SYSALT), Engineering Change Proposals (ECP), and participate in Configuration Control Boards for new and fielded programs and systems
• Analyze and develop recommendations for maintenance documentation and Technical Feedback Reports (TFBR)
• Review and analyze adequacy and provide recommendations for review or change for COSAL Feedback Report Responses, any new design impacts, and form, fit, and function equivalency
• Prepare life cycle cost estimates and return on investment for new and fielded systems
• Witness and monitor tests for new systems
• Prepare and review Contract Drawings, System Specifications, and Requirements Traceability Matrices for new and fielded programs and systems.

Required Skills and Experience:
• 4 years experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering, or,
• Professional Engineering Registration (PE License) in a NCEES recognized state
• Knowledge of or experience with expeditionary facilities (tent camps), water and power generation and distribution systems, electrical systems, and environmental control units (heating and air conditioning systems).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U. S. DoD Security Clearance at the Secret level

Desired Skills and Experience:
• DOD/military engineering experience
• Demonstrated skills and experience in providing technical expertise and implement technical processes across multiple functional specialties within a DoD major systems program office
• USN/USMC experience is desired; Navy Seabee (e. g. with the Naval Construction Force or Amphibious Construction Battalions) experience is particularly relevant.
