About this Position

Professional Analysis, Inc. (PAI) is seeking a Team Lead to assist with our Supply Chain support to the Naval Surface Warfare Center – Carderock Division (NSWCCD) OM&S, Purchase Requisition, and Plant Property & Equipment/Asset Management programs.  A former Senior Chief or Chief LS or Storekeeper would be a good candidate to lead our inventory management support group.  Position is located at NSWCCD, West Bethesda, MD.

About the Customer:

Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD) is the principle Navy resource, national focal point and international leader in surface and undersea vehicle science, ship systems and related maritime technology. A major technical component of the Naval Sea Systems Command, the Division is a source of innovative technology for other national priorities such as environment, energy and transportation.

Responsibilities:

• Provide experienced leadership to our talented inventory management team.

• Provide comments and recommendations to improve NSWCCD OM&S, Purchase Requisition, and Plant Property & Equipment/Asset Management documents and programs

• Assist in the consolidation, update, and posting of OM&S, Purchase Requisition, and Plant Property & Equipment/Asset Management information on NSWCCD SharePoint

• Assist in compliance efforts related to Financial Improvement Audit Readiness (FIAR) including inventory completeness and existence validations, identification of risks, performing internal control testing, documentation of validation results, and identifying recommendations to resolve FIAR, Inspector General (IG), or other audit deficiencies

• Use government/non-government databases including WebFlis, FEDLOG, GSA Advantage

• Conduct inventory validations (floor to book and book to floor) to include categorizing material type, determining physical inventories on hand, researching discrepancies inventory records, determining material ownership, correcting inventory records, identify inventory valuation using the Fair Market Value Worksheet, initiating DD Form 200 submission, labeling inventory, conducting material transfer orders, and maintaining tracking and approval documentation.

Requirements:

• Shall possess and maintain a US DoD Security Clearance at the Secret level

• Experience shall include three (3) years+ of experience with NAVY and NAVY Enterprise Resource Planning (N-ERP) solutions and managing NAVY Logistics including Sponsor Owned Material (SOM) or OM&S

• Experience shall also include responsibilities for material accountability, major project or program level management of contractors/subordinates, and performance of physical inventories of PP&E or OM&S

Preferred Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s of Science or Arts Degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management or related field.

• Working knowledge of DoD FMR Volume 4, Chapter 4, DoN Federal Financial Management Improvement Act (FFMIA) Statement of Assurance, and SECNAV INSTRUCTION 4440.33
