About this Position

Professional Analysis Inc. (PAI) is currently soliciting applications for several Senior Type Desk Support Analysts, located in Norfolk, VA.

The primary responsibility of these Type Desk Analysts will be to provide Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) services for fleet sustainment programs.

Duties Include:

• Development, analysis, and maintenance of accurate shipboard system/equipment configuration baselines at both the class and individual ship level to include:
   o Identification new, removed and obsolete equipment
   o Analysis of ship work specification packages to identify equipment scheduled to be installed, removed or relocated and their associated actions
   o Identification and data maintenance of MSC Item Unique Identification (IUID) information
   o Development, and analysis of associated ILS documentation such as XRIC and APL/AEL identification
   o Analysis to identify and correct configuration deficiencies
   o Preparation, review and submission of feedback documentation
• Development, analysis and maintenance of accurate shipboard and ashore allowance baselines at the class and individual ship level to support mission requirements to include:
   o Identification, development, and analysis of allowance documents and inventory levels/supply system posture to support planned/unplanned maintenance
   o Identification, analysis, and resolution of equipment/part supportability issues
   o Alignment of class allowances
• Research, submission, tracking and validation of requisitions and material required to support ship mission, repair, ashore allowances and shipboard allowance requirements to include:
   o Technical edit screening and market research for material requirements
   o Technical manual reviews to determine correct spares
   o Preparation and submission of supporting documentation in accordance with MSC and Federal requirements
   o Preparation and review of documentation to move material between MSC and vendor sites
   o Research and update of material identification and pricing in support of FIAR
• Task administration, team training and quality assurance activities to include:
   o Articulation of logistics contractual requirements and management/review of deliverables
   o The assessment logistics support risks and corresponding mitigation strategies
   o Improvements to processes, procedures, and/or ILS contractual requirements
   o Preparation and submission of Ad-Hoc reports
   o Application approved MSC QMS procedures
   o Active participation in meetings and presentations.
   o Customer service skills to include written and verbal communication with Government Type Desk personnel.
• Use and expertise using various Government and Commercial automated systems and databases to include:
   o Microsoft Office Suite
   o LogiQuest/OneTouch or other research tools
• Development of maintenance-driven (e.g. Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM)) sparing levels (afloat/ashore) to improve system/equipment Operational Availability (Ao)
• Research, submission, tracking and validation of requisitions and material required to support ship mission, repair, ashore allowances and shipboard allowance requirements to include:

Required Qualifications:

• Must possess and maintain a US Government Secret level clearance
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 14 years of demonstrated knowledge, expertise, and relevant experience providing ship acquisition and/or fleet sustainment logistics support services to vessels of the MSC, U.S. Navy, or U.S. Coast Guard
• Demonstrated knowledge, expertise, and relevant experience providing a full range of ILS support services sustaining the mission of vessels worldwide
