Professional Analysis Inc.(PAI) is seeking several qualified applicants for warehouse technician openings to support Military Sealift Command's Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Detection (CBRD) management requirements in Norfolk.

This warehouse is part of a global network of storage facilities responsible for receiving, storing, and shipping critical repair parts to US Government operated ships around the world.

Our warehouse technicians not only handle the basics of receiving, labeling, inventorying, and issuing, but also have the opportunity to manage specialized materiel like shipboard electronics gear, personal protective equipment and government furnished material. You’ll earn valuable experience with government database systems of record that control worldwide inventory and distribution.

Work Location / Conditions:

·         All work will be conducted at W-143 on Naval Station Norfolk.

·         Work will primarily be in indoors.

·         Applicants must be able to lift up to 40lbs.

Experience:

·         4years’ experience managing specialized material such as CBRND material, Force Protection Equipment, Medical Material, Communications equipment or IT equipment

·         4years of experience using either DOD, Merchant Marine, U.S. Coast Guard or commercial warehouse inventory systems

·         4years of experience using commercial In-Transit Logistics experience preferred

·         Familiarity with government and/or commercial online shipping systems preferred

·         Basic computer skills

·         Strong written and verbal communication skills

Qualifications:

·         Current security clearance required (or eligible to obtain one)

·         Fork lift license up to 6K (may be earned)

·         Ability to travel (2-4 weeks per year) is a plus

 

For a DoD Secret Security Clearance (or the ability to obtain one) the candidate must meet the following basic requirements:

  • U.S. citizenship:     You must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Criminal history:     A clean criminal record is required, particularly with regard to felony     convictions or ongoing criminal proceedings.
  • Financial responsibility: A stable financial history, including no significant     or unresolved debts.
  • Foreign influences:     Limited or no foreign contacts or financial interests that could pose a     security risk.
  • Drug and alcohol use:     A history free from illegal drug use or excessive alcohol consumption.
  • Mental health:     Generally, no history of mental health conditions that could impair judgment or decision-making.
  • Registered with Selective Service: It is a federal requirement for all males to register with the Selective Service before turning 26 years old.
