About this Position

Professional Analysis Inc. (PAI) is seeking an experienced One-Person Site Manager to oversee operations at our Port Hueneme, CA warehouse located at the Naval Surface War Supporting PAI's contract with Military Sealift Command (MSC) for the U.S. Navy, the warehouse provides material support for about 125 MSC vessels. This role is ideal for former Logistics Specialists from the Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, Army, or Air Force, offering an opportunity to leverage military logistics experience in a civilian setting. The Site Manager will handle all aspects of logistics, from material receipts to shipment collection and inventory management, with the potential for team leadership as operations grow.

From managing inventory and overseeing material receipts to ensuring timely shipments and coordinating with customers, you will be fully responsible for the warehouse's success. It's a role that offers great autonomy and the opportunity to make a direct impact on the U.S. Navy’s Military Sealift Command (MSC) operations.

Key Responsibilities:
• Material Management: Oversee receiving, storage, and distribution of materials in compliance with government and commercial standards, supporting MSC’s requirements.
• Inventory Control: Use DoD or commercial warehouse systems to track materials, ensuring accurate inventory and timely distribution.
• Tracking & Visibility: Utilize In-transit Visibility tools for shipment tracking.
• Communication: Collaborate with internal teams, government partners, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless operations and material support.

Experience Requirements:
• 10 years of material/inventory management in maritime or fleet operations.
• 4 years using DoD or commercial warehouse systems
• 6 years managing a material distribution facility
• Forklift Certification (up to 61K preferred)
• Eligible for DoD Secret Clearance or currently holding one

Key Qualifications:
• Security Clearance: Eligible for or currently hold a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to40lbs and perform tasks related to logistics operations.
• Skills:
o Proficiency with DoD or commercial material management systems (CMLS experience is a plus).
o Strong written and verbal communication skills.
o Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
o Ability to manage a site with minimal supervision.

Requirements for a DoD security clearance:

·        U.S. citizenship: You must be a U.S. citizen.

·        Criminal history: A clean criminal record is required, particularly with regard to felony convictions or ongoing criminal proceedings.

·        Financial responsibility: A stable financial history, including no significant or unresolved debts.

·        Foreign influences: Limited or no foreign contacts or financial interests that could pose a security risk.

·        Drug and alcohol use: A history free from illegal drug use or excessive alcohol consumption.

·        Mental health: Generally, no history of mental health conditions that could impair judgment or decision-making.

·        Registered with Selective Service: It is a federal requirement for all males to register with the Selective Service before turning26 years old. You can confirm at https://www.sss.gov/verify/proof/

 

Work Environment:
• Location: Port Hueneme, CA (occasional travel may be required).
• Conditions: Primarily indoor, physically demanding, focused on military logistics for MSC ships.

Work Schedule:
• Hours: Monday to Friday, daytime hours 7:30AM to 4PM, 40 hours/week. Paid holidays.

Additional Information:
This full-time position offers the chance to manage a material distribution facility and support the U.S. Navy’s Expeditionary Fast Transport ships. The role provides autonomy and the opportunity to contribute to critical military operations.
