About this Position

Professional Analysis, Inc. (PAI) is seeking a Field Mechanic/Driver. This individual will provide Mechanic/Driver support to the Marine Corps Logistics Command Distribution Management Support Services (DMSS) in Charleston, SC.

Field Level Mechanic/Driver

1. Perform basic automotive mechanic duties incident to inspection, maintenance, and repair of heavy mobile equipment and tracked combat vehicles such as; trucks, cranes, rough-terrain forklifts, scoop-loaders, scrapers, prime movers, tanks, re-fuelers, tankers, pumps, distillation, purification, bath units, power generators, and fuel handling systems, retrievers, compressors, road graders, spreaders, ditch diggers, and bulldozers.

2. Perform crew/operator maintenance on all types equipment, such as checking and replenishing fluids to proper levels, inspecting tires and inflating to proper levels, inspecting safety devices for serviceability, checking hydraulic connections, belts, hoses and lights for efficient operation, making necessary adjustments and promptly reports deficiencies as required

3. Operate heavy mobile equipment to determine what repairs adjustments and/or modifications are required

4. Operate motor transport tactical wheeled vehicles and equipment transporting passengers and cargo in support of garrison and nodal movement operations.

5. Operate diesel powered vehicles including tracked vehicles and engineering equipment for movement in garrison and nodal movement areas.

6. Perform crew/operator and/or intermediate level maintenance actions on Ground Combat Equipment, Weapons and Material IAW equipment operator and technical manuals and local facilities standard operating procedures (SOPs) for equipment identified in Attachment D to allow equipment to continue transiting the DOD Transportation system.

7. Operate diesel powered vehicles including tracked vehicles, engineering equipment and material handling equipment for movement in garrison and nodal movement areas

8. Execute maintenance management activities to include the (8) functional areas of Maintenance Management (Maintenance Administration, Personnel Training, Records and Reports, Publications Control, Equipment Availability, Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services and Corrective Maintenance (CM), Supply Support, and Maintenance Related Programs IAW MCO P4790.2.
