About this Position

Professional Analysis, Inc. (PAI) is seeking a Distribution Process Expeditor (DPE) to support the operational requirements of the Marine Corps Logistics Command (MARCORLOGCOM). This surge position will fulfill eight months of requirements with the potential for one additional year of work.

Based in Djibouti, Africa at Combined Joint Task Force – Horn of Africa (CJTF-HOA)*, the DPE will execute the strategic vision of MARCORLOGCOM headquarters in Albany, GA in accordance with the Distribution Management Support Services (DMSS) contract.

By providing tactical direction in a dynamic transportation environment, this expeditor will ensure shipping timelines are met by providing both direct and indirect support to meet the needs of deployed Marines.

Daily Expectations:
•  Address USMC/Navy cargo problems related to standard port procedures.
•  Provide assistance to aerial/seaport customer service representatives regarding DOD transiting shipments.
•  Assist aerial/seaport customer service representatives by facilitating Marine Corps/Navy process improvements to minimize the occurrence of Marine Corps/Navy sponsored frustrated cargo.
•  Resolve/Process all frustrated cargo to ensure compliance with both aerial port and DOD requirements.
•  Monitor all cargo movements through all modes of transportation from origin to destination to provide feedback on the effectiveness of the defense transportation system in meeting the Time Definite Delivery (TDD) and operational need goals timelines. Provide trend analysis of findings.
•  Utilize AIS that are used throughout DTS to account, track, and interface movement data with load planning programs and joint AIS to support the Force Deployment Planning and Execution (FDPE) process, supply chain management, and In Transit Visibility (ITV).
•  Conduct container management to include receipt, issue and inspection.

Personal Requirements:
• Current SECRET Security Clearance
• Functional knowledge of sea, rail, truck and air load operations
• Certified in Hazardous Declaration of Dangerous Goods
• Functional knowledge of GATES, FACTS, Air Load Planning and Port Support Activity requirements.
• Must be a U.S. citizen

Preferred Attributes:
• Knowledge and experience working in a dynamic APOD / SPOD
• Familiarity with military plans and commercial shipping schedules

Work Schedule:
• Hours of operations will normally consist of 8 hours per day/5-day workweek, unless approved overtime is authorized
• Overtime may be required on weekends and holidays, as well as late evening and early morning hours
