About this Position

Professional Analysis Inc. (PAI) is seeking qualified applicants for a Special Materials Type Desk (SMLTD) Analyst position. These duties support Military Sealift Command’s (MSC) worldwide material management requirements.

Based in Norfolk, VA, this position is located at W143 on Norfolk Naval Base. With 80% of your time spent working at NOB and 20% on travel to meet MSC vessels in various ports around the world. These ships often stop in Japan, Hawaii, San Diego, Mobile, Jacksonville and many other ports around the globe. This role will directly support US Government physical inspection requirements for inventory accountability and verification onboard these vessels. The estimated work load for travel is 10 Ship visits per year with each Ship lasting 3 days to a week on average.

Required Qualifications:
• US Government Security Clearance
• Active U.S. Passport
• 4 years of Navy or MSC logistics experience
• Strong knowledge of ordering, researching and shipping material

Preferred Attributes:
• CMLS, Logiquest, JACKS and other logistics database background
• Naval fleet sustainment logistics experience
• Shipboard inventory experience
• Materiel research, requisition ordering, feedback processing, and shelf life management experience
