PAI is pleased to announce our recent completion of ISO 9001:2015 certification, granted following an audit by International Certifications USA, an independent ISO certification company. The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is an independent, non-government membership organization, and the world’s largest developer of voluntary proprietary, industrial, and commercial standards to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency. The certification was awarded following an intensive two day audit at PAI Headquarters, which uncovered no deficiencies or corrective actions required.
An ISO 9001:2015 certification attests to an organization’s demonstrated ability to consistently provide products and services that meet or exceed customer and regulatory requirements, to enhance customer satisfaction, and to continually improve upon its practices. PAI’s approach to these areas is set forth in our Quality Management System (QMS), which encompasses a QMS Manual with 8 associated Policies and Procedures (P&Ps), regular internal audits, and an annual senior management review to monitor and measure the effectiveness of PAI processes and products, assess progress on company goals, and discuss any corrective or preventive follow-on actions as required. This QMS is further integrated with PAI’s other P&Ps that address Human Resources (HR), Finance and Accounting, and Security matters.
Stephen Mellis, a PAI Director and Program Manager for the company’s Military Sealift Command (MSC) contract, led the ISO 9001:2015 certification efforts, and will also serve as PAI’s ISO Coordinator.
PAI is a Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, VA, and employs over 120 logistics professionals supporting our US Navy and MSC customers in 7 states and 5 foreign countries.
