About this Position
Overview: Professional Analysis Inc. (PAI) is seeking several full-time Purchasing Agents to be located on-site at the Defense Supply Center in Columbus, Ohio (DSCC) to provide purchasing and inventory management support to the United States military services by procuring parts and equipment for these government customers.
Duties:
-The Purchasing Agent will review purchase requests and perform the work necessary to convert them into purchase orders by evaluating offers, performing price analysis, and recommending an award to the government’s Contracting Officer.
-The Purchasing Agent will use the government’s computer systems and databases to review and compare purchase price history, review vendor performance history, and will work with the technical review team to ensure that the proper items and specifications are purchased.
-This position will be required to meet monthly goals for issuing purchase orders to vendors.
-This position will report to the Level IV Supervisor.
Experience required:
-Three years of experience in logistics, purchasing, vendor relations, or contracting disciplines.
-All applicants will be subject to passing a government mandated background screening.
-Demonstrated communication skills, both verbal and written.
Experience preferred:
-Prior military experience is preferred, but not required.
-Previous contracting or purchasing experience is valued.
Schedule:
-Monday through Friday, Daytime only, 40-hours/week.
-No evenings, no weekends, no over-time required.
