About this Position

Professional Analysis, Inc. (PAI) is seeking a Navy Logistician to provide support to the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Expeditionary Programs Office (NEPO) on the Washington Navy Yard.  NEPO is the Navy’s Systems Command (SYSCOM) office responsible for procuring and managing expeditionary vehicles, construction equipment, Improved Navy Lighterage Systems, tent camps, fuel/water/power distribution systems and other equipment/material used by SEABEEs, SEALs and Naval Beach Group units.

Specifically, this position would support the Amphibious Surf Capable Vehicle (ASCV) program, replacement program for the Lighter, Amphibious Reconnaissance Craft (LARC-V) under the Sealift Program Manager providing acquisition and life cycle logistics support strategies.

Duties will include acquisition planning and logistics policy development, such as the following:

  • Providing logistics subject matter expertise and product support recommendations
  • Advising on all acquisition and life-cycle logistics support
  • Reviewing logistics deliverables, such as provisioning data, technical manuals, and maintenance procedures for conformance to policy and procedures
  • Reviewing Justification Cost Forms (JCF), System Alteration Records (SARs), Integrated Logistics Support Certifications (ILS Cert), Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), and other change documentation
  • Providing expert evaluation of logistic product impacts including cost estimates, ensuring all ILS products (COSAL, APL/AEL, MIPs/MRCs, Tech Manuals, Training Docs) affected by change documentation are updated and providing logistics product support to the installing activities
  • Assisting with the evaluation of training support requirements for new system acquisition

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 4 or more years of demonstrated technical experience supporting a DoD program office
  • Familiarity with the Defense Acquisition System and DoD 5000 series guidance
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U. S. DoD Secret Security Clearance

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics related field
  • DOD/military logistics experience with ship/craft systems
  • Navy supply system experience
  • Knowledge of or experience with Joint Capabilities Integration Development System (JCIDS) documents
  • Knowledge of Navy expeditionary forces and systems
  • USN/USMC experience is desired; Navy Seabee (e. g. with the Naval Construction Force, Amphibious Construction Battalions, or Underwater Construction Teams) experience is particularly relevant
