Position Overview
Professional Analysis, LLC (PAI) is seeking an experienced Alternate Site Manager to assist in leading warehouse and distribution operations supporting DLA Distribution at Hill Air Force Base, Ogden, Utah. The Alternate Site Manager serves as the acting Site Manager during planned or unplanned absences and has full authority to act on behalf of the company for all aspects of contract performance during those periods. This position provides day-to-day operational leadership to ensure safe, efficient, auditable, and customer-focused distribution operations supporting Department of War customers worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as acting Site Manager with full contractual authority during planned and unplanned absences.
- Assist in planning, directing, supervising, and coordinating warehouse and distribution operations.
- Supervise warehouse supervisors, team leads, and operational personnel while ensuring effective workforce utilization.
- Coordinate receiving, storage, inventory management, issue processing, shipping, transportation, packaging, and material accountability activities.
- Ensure compliance with the DLA Performance Work Statement (PWS), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), quality requirements, audit readiness initiatives, internal controls, and applicable regulations.
- Support audit readiness through continuous process compliance, inventory accountability, documentation accuracy, and adherence to internal controls.
- Analyze operational metrics, monitor performance trends, identify deficiencies, and implement corrective actions to improve operational effectiveness.
- Assist with staffing, scheduling, workforce planning, employee development, and training to ensure personnel are fully qualified to perform assigned duties.
- Promote risk management and internal controls designed to prevent fraud, waste, abuse, mismanagement, and operational inefficiencies.
- Foster a culture emphasizing safety, accountability, customer service, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Empower employees to identify process deficiencies, stop work when necessary, and resolve issues before they impact mission performance.
- Coordinate daily operational activities with Government personnel while ensuring contractual performance objectives are consistently achieved.
- Assist the Site Manager in managing contract performance, quality, staffing, scheduling, and customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum three (3) years of Distribution Management experience or seven (7) years managing warehouse and distribution operations of similar size and complexity.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience using an automated Warehouse Management System (WMS) within the past five (5) years.
- Demonstrated experience supervising warehouse operations involving inventory management, warehousing, shipping, receiving, transportation, and material accountability.
- Strong leadership, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain all required Government installation access credentials.
Preferred Qualifications
- Active Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain all required Government security credentials, installation access, and system access.
- Previous DLA Distribution or military depot leadership experience.
- Experience supporting Air Force, DLA, or other Department of War logistics operations.
- Experience using DSS, WMS, ERP, SAP, or similar logistics management systems.
- Lean Six Sigma or comparable continuous improvement certification.
Work Environment
This position supports daily warehouse and distribution operations at DLA Distribution Hill Air Force Base, Ogden, Utah, working in both warehouse and office environments while coordinating closely with Government personnel and operational staff.
