Professional Analysis, Inc. is currently soliciting applications for the position of Safety and Occupational Health (SOH) Representative, located in the Cherry Point, North Carolina area to serve on our Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime Contract contingent on award.

The Safety and Occupational Health Representative will be responsible for o ensures workplace safety and compliance with occupational health regulations, preventing accidents, injuries, and illnesses.


Job Responsibilities:
• Conduct routine workplace safety inspections and ensure compliance with OSHA and internal safety standards.
• Identify and mitigate hazards related to equipment, processes, and facilities.
• Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal safety regulations.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes affecting occupational safety and health.
• Investigate workplace accidents, injuries, and near-misses to identify root causes.
• Prepare detailed reports and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Develop and conduct safety training programs for employees at all levels.
• Provide specialized training on topics like hazardous materials handling, ergonomics, and emergency response.
• Implement and test emergency response plans.
• Ensure availability and functionality of safety equipment (fire extinguishers, PPE, first aid kits
• Collect and analyze data on injuries, near-misses, and compliance.
• Generate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to safety performance (e.g., Total Recordable Incident Rate - TRIR).

Required:
• Experience shall include a minimum of three (3) years of experience in the SOH field within the past five (5) years.
• U.S. Citizen
• Must be able to obtain a security clearance

Preferred:
• OSHA 30-Hour or 10-Hour Certification – Industry-specific courses on workplace safety regulations.
• First Aid/CPR Certification – Often required for emergency response readiness.
• Bachelor’s Degree (preferred) in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Public Health, or a related field or
• An associate degree or extensive experience in safety-related roles
